In spite of the fact that the exhibition was thematic, Oleg Plenkin wanted to present to the audience the Spanish series of pastels. For the first time it was shown at one-man show in 2012 and was given a cordial welcome both professionals, and public. And the author himself felt that he managed to transfer the main things to what he aspired lately in the Spanish pastels: saturated color, expression and the image character. The black color entered not intuitively but almost rationally into the second work of a series, in combination with red and blue truly allowed to catch Spanish coloring and to create the unique atmosphere of Madrid and vicinities.
From eight works shown at the Exhibition Committee four of them were selected to be exhibited at showroom of the Visual Art Center.
