At exhibitions

In 2013, besides landscape works, Oleg Plenkin brought two still-life from the Crimea. The idea of their creation came up to him before he went for the trip. Both paintings were shown at Exhibition Committee and accepted on an exhibition.

One-man art show of Oleg Plenkin in the Feodosiya Literary and Memorial Museum by Alexander Green presented him a joy of meeting with new audience, warm responses about his creativity from inhabitants and city visitors and the Crimea art critics.

In August 2013 Oleg worked over landscapes which he painted in different places: in Vladimir, in Sudogda and Vyaznikky areas. Everything united them in one: the presence of a birch which Oleg wanted to paint long ago in his own way. He was going to study this unique white-trunked tree in detail, express its character and the rhythm in his pictures.

In 2012 Oleg Plenkin created the series of pastels based on his impressions from trip to Spain and to Crimea. He decided to send the Spanish pastels to the Regional Art Exhibition but the Crimean pastels to show at the exhibition of sketches.

In spite of the fact that the exhibition was thematic, Oleg Plenkin wanted to present to the audience the Spanish series of pastels.

At an exhibition there were shown more than forty graphic and pictorial works created in the last ten years: works of the Petersburg period, landscape paintings and pastels recently brought from Spain.

Within the exhibition project "Russian Art Week"; there was organized the exhibition of artists from Russia in the Spanish capital. Oleg Plenkin participated in the exhibition, having gone to Madrid with work "The City between the Sky and Water".

For Oleg Plenkin the participation in an exhibition in Moscow Gallery became an experience of the works exhibiting together with work by capital authors which were stylistically very versatile. In other words, there was a wish to prove to be and to look at others.

For the first time the Vladimir Department of the "Union of Artists of Russia" organized the regional thematic exhibition devoted to Plain-air paintings. It was the first regional exhibition for Oleg Plenkin.

For Oleg Plenkin the participation in an exhibition in Moscow Gallery became an experience of the works exhibiting together with work by capital authors which were stylistically very versatile. In other words, there was a wish to prove to be and to look at others.
